The paper is distributed to every home in the Arrow Lakes, Slocan and North Kootenay Lake Valleys. The newspaper has a circulation of 7,600 copies and is read by over 20,000, including its online edition.
Here’s what Dan Nicholson said about Community Futures Self Employment Program:
“They do a great job of taking artisans and craftsmen and turning them into entrepreneurs, or at least helping them to market their own work. I’m very impressed with the way that they can go beyond conventional business thinking to find solutions that really work. Community Futures has been an important mentor as I made the transition from being a seasonal employee to being a full-time publisher. Without their support and guidance, The Valley Voice would be a pale shadow of what it is today.”
