The Community Futures Self Employment Program supports eligible entrepreneurs who want to start their own business or purchase an existing business, in which they had no prior ownership.
The Self Employment Program includes income support, a ten week business plan development phase, access to free business skills development workshops in the Community Futures Small Business Training Centre, and one-on-one mentoring.
Community Futures Central Kootenay has delivered the Self-Employment program for over three decades. Businesses started through the Self-Employment program have a higher success rate than the national average.
