In the aftermath of last summer’s wildfires, many local businesses are still struggling to regain their footing. To help these businesses recover, Community Futures British Columbia is offering a suite of free services to help businesses strengthen operations and prepare for future challenges.
“We focus on capacity building and skill development so that businesses can quickly restore operations after a disaster, and continue to grow to meet the challenges of our competitive business environment” said Wendy McCulloch, Executive Director of Community Futures Development British Columbia.
The services are open to businesses of all sizes and stages, with a focus on those impacted by wildfires.
Free support services include:
- Consulting: Advice and guidance from experts in rural businesses. Receive assistance to improve skills, find resources, work through a problem, or reach a business goal.
- Peer Masterminds: Facilitated group sessions to take action on a specific area of business. Receive 1-on-1 coaching and learn from the experiences of other entrepreneurs.
- Workshops: Engaging sessions on a variety of timely, relevant topics. Open to business owners, managers of not-for-profits, and their employees.
- Business Training Reimbursement: Covers up to 80% of training costs, up to $5,000, to help business owners and their teams develop essential skills. Limited availability, conditions apply.
