MyCFCK Workshops

Community Futures Central Kootenay offers locally organized workshops to support entrepreneurs and small business owners in our region. We bring in local subject matter experts to provide practical training on topics such as bookkeeping, business planning and other areas important to running and growing a business..

Workshops may be offered in person or online, depending on the topic and instructor. These sessions are a great opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while building connections within the local business community. Upcoming workshops will be listed on the MyCFCK workshop page when available.

Regional Workshops

You can also access additional learning opportunities through MyCommunityFutures, a province-wide hub for small business workshops, webinars, and on-demand training offered by Community Futures British Columbia.

These sessions are open to startups, small businesses, social enterprises, and non-profits. Led by experienced professionals, the training focuses on developing practical skills in areas such as marketing, human resources, strategic planning, and more – designed to help you quickly apply what you learn to your organization.

All My Community Futures training is delivered online, via Zoom. Training is free of charge for most Community Futures service areas in BC, including Central Kootenay. Create an account or log in to your dashboard to check your eligibility.

Export Navigator Workshops

Export Navigator offers free educational webinars and training sessions to help BC businesses learn about exporting and expanding into new markets.

Sessions are led by trade and industry experts and cover topics such as international marketing, shipping and logistics, market entry strategies, regulatory requirements, and cross-border trade.

Education sessions are typically delivered online and open to businesses across British Columbia.
