In just one year, Kootenay Entrepreneurs Group (KEG) brought together hundreds of entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration, connection, and community.
About KEG
KEG was a space for aspiring and established entrepreneurs to network, share knowledge, and collaborate. From March 2024 to March 2025, KEG hosted 13 monthly meetups and 3 Quarterly Networking Events (Q-KEG), supporting hundreds of entrepreneurs across the Kootenay region. While KEG’s meetups and events have ended, the relationships built and lessons learned remain valuable to those involved.

KEG’s Impact
Starting a business can often feel like a solitary journey, but KEG helped change that. What began as a simple idea quickly grew into a thriving, supportive community. Founder Jenine Lillian, a local neurodiversity consultant and Self Employment Program graduate, reflects on KEG’s impact:
“The group has never been about me; it has been about what we can create when we connect authentically to grow and support each other. What’s next is for each of us to take the benefits we’ve received from the Kootenay Entrepreneurs Group out into the world and create connections in our own ways.”
Stay Connected
KEG meetups have wrapped up, but the entrepreneurial community in the Kootenays is still thriving! We encourage business owners to stay connected and keep building relationships. If you’re looking for networking opportunities, check out:
