Job Summary:

Reporting to the Business Loans Manager, the Business Loans Administrative Assistant supports both the Business Loans Manager and the Business Loans Analyst in file management, reporting, and collection of confidential information. The wage range is $28 – $30 per hour for 14 hours (two days) per week. The position is based in the Community Futures Central Kootenay office located in Nelson, BC.

Key responsibilities:

Fern Administration and File Management

  • Set up new files within the people, business and loan modules
    • Prepare amortization schedules
  • Maintain ongoing file management
    • Interest rate changes and prepare new schedules
    • Maintain current contact information, update as required
    • Collection of financials and any documents, as needed, for annual file review
    • Closing and archiving all client files
    • Post monthly loan payments in Fern

Correspondence

  • Email annual amortization schedules to client & partners
  • Email amended amortizations schedules as required

General Loans Administration and Reporting

  • Upon request of the client, email annual loan statement
  • Report clients on monthly basis to Equifax – Commercial and Consumer
  • Additional loan administration duties as time permits

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organization and detail oriented
  • Able to self-manage and maintain deadlines
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative role within a legal, banking or administrative office environment
